Web Development Process
How we
build sites that
hold up
Six phases, each signed off before the next starts. No surprises at launch.
Introduction Call
It starts with a conversation
The process begins with a consultation, followed by filling out a brief to ensure we understand your needs clearly.
Understanding your situation
We take time to understand your business, your audience, and what the site actually needs to do. Not a sales call. A working conversation.
The brief
We provide a structured brief for you to complete at your own pace. It shapes the entire project and means we start work already aligned, not catching up.

Phase 1: Discovery and strategy
Discovery
We map your business model, your audience, and what success looks like for the site. For most of our clients, that means thinking about more than one type of buyer.
Value Proposition Analysis
We define what the site needs to communicate and to whom. Companies in electrification often have multiple audiences: investors, partners, technical buyers. Each needs something different from the same URL.
Competitor Research & Planning
We look at how comparable companies present themselves and where the gaps are. Then we build the strategy around those gaps.

Phase 2: Architecture and structure
Identifying Essential Pages
We decide which pages the site actually needs and what each one has to do. Nothing gets built speculatively.
Foundation Building
We produce the sitemap and wireframes. Every section, every CTA, every user flow mapped before a single line of code is written.
Final Plan Approval
You review and sign off on the architecture before we move forward.

Phase 3: Copy
Starting With The End In Mind
We write from the goals, not the other way around. Every section of copy is written to do a specific job.
Crafting Conversion-Focused Copy
The copy speaks to your actual buyers. For most Clariable clients, that means people who understand the technology and don’t need it oversimplified.
Final Content Check
You review everything before it moves to design. If you have an internal copywriter, we share the wireframes for them to work from instead.

Phase 4: Design
Turning Your Vision To Life
Design starts only after the copy is approved. Every visual decision is made in support of a message, not ahead of it.
Crafting Impactful Design
We build sites that look credible to a sophisticated buyer. Clean, precise, and brand-coherent.
Final Design Check
The design is reviewed against the copy and wireframes before development starts.

Phase 5: Development
Development with Clear Direction
With wireframes, design, and copy all approved, development starts fast and clean. No mid-build course corrections.
Expert WordPress Development
Our developers build in WordPress using frameworks they’ve used across dozens of sites: ACF, WPML, GenerateBlocks. No experimental choices on live client projects.
Accountability at All Times
The site builds on a staging domain. You can review progress at any point.

Phase 6: Launch
Final Launch Preparations
Before the site goes live, we run performance, SEO, AI search readiness, and security checks. It launches ready, not almost ready.
Meeting Your Requirements
We walk through the finished site with you to confirm every requirement is met.
Launching with Confidence
Once you approve, we launch within the planned timeline and follow up to confirm everything is running correctly.

After launch
For our embedded partners, launch isn’t the end of the engagement. It’s the start of the ongoing roadmap. We meet regularly to keep the site aligned with the business as it grows.
Regular check-ins.
We review the site against your current priorities regularly. Things move fast in electrification. Your web presence needs to keep up.
Site care between meetings.
Updates, security, speed, bug fixes handled between meetings. The site stays healthy without you having to track it.
SEO and AI search.
Beyond maintenance, we work on the content, traditional SEO, and AI search visibility that brings the right people to the site.
